Day 13: A Guilty Pleasure Movie
I have way too many guilty pleasures, but my favorite is definitely Legally Blonde
it tends to be one of those movies I always end up watching to completion when I see it playing on TV. It’s just a fun “turn your brains off” and laugh kind of movie.

I just finished the last of my Public Health...
…yet my parents still have me paranoid that this is a terrible decision, and I’m never going to get a job…
some words of wisdom, please? Are they right?

Day 12: A Movie You Hate
30 day movie challenge-
I don’t deny that I’m really easily entertained— OOOH!! SHINY THINGS!!!…………
haha, just kidding! Yeah, there really aren’t too many movies I’d say I hate. I try not to watch stuff that I think I’ll really dislike in the first place, but even when I do watch something I’m not that interested in, I usually...

Day 11: A Movie that Changed Your Opinion About...
yeah, I realize I’m like, 3 days late with this…
So, for this one, I had to go with the movie 3 Idiots. I warn you in advance, this post might get cheesy, but it’s true, I swear!
My first two years of college were tough…I was totally in over my head, and similar to the characters in the movie, I had parents pressuring me into a career (medicine). I was so stressed about...

Day 10: Favorite Classic Movie
You’d think that I’d have a hard time picking this one— classics are all great (well, duh, they’re classics), and I’m sure most people would struggle to pick just one. But for me, Bonnie and Clyde is always my answer to this question
This one is special to me, since it was the first Hollywood classic I really remember enjoying. At least part of that might be...

Day 9: A Movie with the Best Soundtrack
So, I’m going to have to give the answer that pretty much everyone who was a teen in 2005 will give. Garden State
It gets points from me just for introducing me to The Shins, who are still one of my favorite bands. Even ignoring that, I just think the soundtrack all fits really perfectly with the movie. My personal favorite moment would be Let Go at the very end of the movie, and of...

So apparently The Muppets are brainwashing... →
I have no words, really…
also, they clearly don’t know the difference between The Muppets and Sesame Street

Day 8: A Movie You've Seen Countless Times
There are a lot of movies I’ve seen more times than I can count- The Lion King, Dil Chahta Hai, the Harry Potter movies, and tons of others…
If I had to guess which movie I’ve seen the most, though, it would probably be Sholay.
This one tends to be my family’s go-to movie on Friday nights where we end up with no new movie to watch. And for reasons I still haven’t...

My Week in Movies: Some ramblings on Up in the Air
So, this week I only got the chance to watch one movie, Jason Reitman’s Up in the Air. I had a bunch of thoughts on it, and just felt like getting them out…apologies if this isn’t really structured, it’s pretty much just a brain dump-
I had seen this sometime shortly after it got its Oscar nominations. Of all the nominees for that year, this one was actually my...

Day 7: Best Plot twist or ending
This was another tough one for me, since I haven’t seen all that many films with a plot twist that really surprised me. My pick for this has to go to The Prestige
So, it should be obvious from the title that this will have spoilers, so if you haven’t seen The Prestige…well, if you haven’t, get off of tumblr and go see it right now!
Spoilers!!!
I can fully admit that...

Day 6: Favorite Made for TV Movie
This was really tough— I haven’t watched very many made-for-tv movies, at least not since I stopped watching Disney Channel Original’s some time in middle school.
So, by default, my pick for this is Hamlet, the tv version of the play with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart.
I did like this a lot- Stewart was particularly good. Tennant got a little over the top, but I was ok...

Day 5: Favorite Love Story in a Movie
It was tough to pick one for this, so I ended up going with one from Hollywood and two from Bollywood. From Hollywood, my pick is Colin Firth’s story from Love Actually
The other two— the Bollywood films Jab We Met and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
Another that I strongly considered was 500 Days of Summer, but then again, they specifically tell us that that one is “a story about...
